NYT columnist Paul Krugman, via Shakesville, quoting from John McCain's article--which features some of his truly innovative ideas for reforming our healthcare system--appearing now in Contingencies, a trade magazine for actuaries:
"Opening up the health insurance market to more vigorous nationwide
competition, as we have done over the last decade in banking, would
provide more choices of innovative products less burdened by the worst
excesses of state-based regulation."
Emphasis mine. Got that, America? Vote John McCain if you would like to see our healthcare system resemble the current mess on Wall Street. That'll be some good times. I'll be looking forward to it.
